Here’s one for the aircraft enthusiasts amongst you.
I took these photos last year, at a military museum near Riga Airport. Well, they call it a museum… ‘scrapyard’ might be a more accurate term. These helicopters and planes have just been dumped here in row after row, dozens of craft lined up and largely forgotten in a Latvian field.
I have no idea what I’m going to do with this photoset. Perhaps sometime I’ll do a Best Of post, gathering together all my favourite abandoned aircraft from around the world. Perhaps. But for now, here’s the Latvian set – in all their red-starred, rusting glory.
